(Miami Beach, FL) - Recent statewide polling finds that a majority of Florida voters currently plan to vote yes to approve Amendment 2 and bring medical marijuana to the sunshine state. Current support levels are just above the 60% threshold needed for passage. With both sides competitive in outreach and advertising, this continues to be a tight race to watch over the final week.
The poll, conducted for United for Care by Anzalone Liszt Grove Research, was conducted through landlines and cellphones with likely 2014 voters in Florida. Interviews were conducted between October 22 – 27, 2014. Respondents were selected at random, with interviews apportioned geographically based on past voter turnout. Expected margin of sampling error is ±3.4% with a 95% confidence level. Party registration composition for this survey is 41% Democrat / 43% Republican / 16% NPA or Other.
"This poll demonstrates a continued upward swing - attributable to recent endorsements by major papers across the state as well as a substantial increase in our outreach to voters," said Ben Pollara, Campaign Manager.
