Weekly Central Florida Regional Phone Bank Training

Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at 06:00 PM · 6 rsvps

Established volunteers will be phone banking. New volunteers will sign up and be trained to phone bank. (pre-register at www.ielectapp.com with the code ufc). After phone banking we will review the upcoming events.

Every Wednesday, our regional office in downtown Orlando will provide a weekly training session for all of our prospective volunteer phone bankers. These short sessions will introduce you to the campaign's programs and goals. Come join us (food and drinks will be provided) and help us write history! Everybody is welcome to join us for this training. The session should take less than an hour.

We can only seat 15 people at a time, so please reserve your spot early!

We recently moved into our new office so this will be a good way to meet everyone and see the new place. We'll be introducing you to iElect: a program that will be used to get supporters to request absentee ballots. Please bring your laptop/tablet and your phone if you have one as we only have a limited amount of extras. Also, we ask that you bring a friend if able to.

Our campaign manager, who is a campaign genius in Florida, genuinely believes that the only way we are going to win this election is with a strong AB push. We know that we are going to win this if we have 1/4 million votes before election day starts. If we don't make all these calls, we will not reach the 800,000 people that signed our petition and we already know that those people have less than a 25% chance of voting in non-presidential elections. The only way we will win this is by picking up the phone and calling these people to tell them that we need them to vote by mail.

We will win this election as long as we work as a team. Join our team today!

For more information on Phone Banking, contact our Central Florida Region Phone Bank Manager, Dannie Vines at DannieUFC@gmail.com or call the Central FL Region Manager at 407 792 2641.

Medical marijuana is shaping up to be the topic du jour of the 2014 election season. The Florida Supreme Court has approved a citizens' initiative petition calling for a referendum to legalize use of marijuana for certain medical conditions. The proposed amendment to the Florida Constitution will be on the November 4 ballot. That move comes as the Florida Legislature has held hearings on a proposal to allow limited use of marijuana to treat certain medical conditions. A panel of experts will debate the pros and cons of legalizing marijuana for medical purposes and answer questions from the audience.
